Todd was the most aggressive of the candidates we interviewed when we chose a realtor to sell our two condos, and he delivered, proving himself far more knowledgeable and in-tune with the market than the others. Amie was great! I live in San Francisco and selling my property from across the country was stressful. Having Amie lead the process put me at ease. The fact that she lives and knows the neighborhood where my condo iw was key! She could talk up the benefits of living in the area but was also knowledgeable when it came to all of the upcoming changes in the area. At one point I was incredibly stressed about the condo not selling fast enough and Amie reassured me that dropping the price was NOT a good idea and to be patient. She was right and it sold where I wanted it to and within a short period of time. It was much easier than I thought and that really had to do with Amie. I felt supported by Amie throughout my entire apartment purchase experience. She was patient when I wanted to go back and look at apartments a second time and helped me ask myself the right questions in deciding Which place was right for me. On the day of my closing,after the papers were signed, she accompanied me to my apartment and tested and sorted the keys to make sure I knew which keys belonged to which locks. Ted Mortellaro was a rock star agent for the recent sale of my home!! I super-highly recommend him. I wanted to list rather quickly…Ted made that happen seamlessly! I had done a lot of preparation for making the house show-ready and Ted gave me great, honest advice for the necessary final touches. He expertly completed all that was required for the listing to go live. From there, the showings, open houses and all other details were handled beautifully by him. Ted had said that once I chose him as an agent, I wouldn’t really have to do anything..he was so right! He handled everything with a 5-star level. Ted was phenomenal to work with and I have sung his praises to friends, family and neighbors. Ted provided his expertise in assessing what updates and repairs we need to do before putting our condominium on the market. We followed all of his advice on painting, flooring, staging and miscellaneous repairs or updates. Ted was great to work with. He never made it feel like I was wasting his time over the year and a half I worked with him. Unfortunately, the market took some turns and I lost out on my first sale, then had to take less money during the pandemic. Ted was terrific and really willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. I interviewed Ted (and three others) before selecting him as my agent, so I had a pretty good idea of who he was and how he would approach the sale of my condo. From the start, he was candid about the things he would want to change about my place before it went on the market, including which changes he thought would be cost effective, but always let me make the ultimate call on any repairs or improvements. He was patient with me as I agonized over decisions (that were likely not all that significant) and never displayed any frustration with me, even though I failed to have my place completely ready for the photographer and even on the first day of showings. Instead, Ted just jumped right in to help me get the place ready and to make things work. He truly went beyond the job description to get my place sold. We ended up with multiple offers and the process of choosing an offer to accept and completing the negotiations for the contract went very smoothly. I received more than my asking price, and I am very happy with the outcome.

I have bought and sold properties several times, a couple of which involved moving considerable distances. My experience with Ted was by far and away the best. We moved to Chicago from New York. Both the very different real estate environment here and our unfamiliarity with Chicago neighborhoods posed significant challenges. In the search he listened to us and showed us properties both that we had located and those that he felt best met our needs and requirements. He and his office were magnificent in supporting us through the purchasing process and even afterward when the closing was finished. Selling our condo was a big challenge for us. It took 5 months to finally decide to sell and move back to Upstate New York. As much as we had prepared before listing the condo, the work just got more demanding – showings, inspection, forms, contingencies, not to mention booking movers and finding a rental in New York. So Ted was like a teammate in that regard, especially with the busy work that came up after going into contract. Two months after listing we have closed, moved, and settled in in New York. Without Ted’s help and advice we could not have made it.
